Chasing Leopard For the Season
This Sunday is the Chinese New Year and celebration of the 2010 being the Year of the Tiger. If we would look at the fashion for the New Year, we can notice that it is so far exciting, a little flamboyant, with lots of color & animal prints. I think animal prints are definitely in style & will bring lots of variety into each wardrobe. Some of the trendiest motifs of this season ended up being leopard prints. I think the main clothing piece that has been influencing us the most is leopard printed coat. Celebrities immediately attacked this item in stores. They have started wearing not only outside during cold weather but also on the red carpet & movie premiers.
Second item which was introduced in the animal print is a leopard printed handbag. Leopard printed handbag is very neutral accessory (even if it does not look like it since it has mix of black and orange colors). It can be worn with lots of bright colors which can make a great collaboration. How about pink, lime & bright blue colors built in an addition to the black & white dresses, skirts and pants. Some of the designers have been playing with runway dresses and their color printed fabrics which have gained public attention and fashion critics positive reviews.
I referred to Elle magazine to provide you great snapshots of celebrities stepping out in the red carpet or in their daily life. Magazine has captured what is HOT to wear in leopard prints & what can be worn along with them.

Maison Martin Margiela Artisanal is one of the names which is usually not on the pages of magazines or seen during fahion week. Its a couture collection which is truly a piece of art and presents more than just a clothing line. This designer has been established since 1989 but we certain wish we knew about him before. Some of his pieces more costume-like but the execution is extraordinary, its an eye candy for the ones appreciating the couture creations and thrive on breakthrough performances. "Long known for his penchant for recycling, Margiela used throwaway garments such as old jeans, shredded them and turned the result into a cascade of fringes on a one-legged jumpsuit." “Less is better, simple & clean is more to win!”

Have you ever thought about what is your clothing say about you? They might be contemplating that they are in the unhappy state or might be arguing why you put that shirt with not matching pants or skirt. I believe that if you think of the ways to make your clothing happy and content, you can probably find the way to your own sense of style.

I tend to stick to my own quote which is "less is better, simple & clean is more to win!". What I mean by that is that simple black dress might be definitely a "winning look" among other pieces in my closet. It is easy to create a "clothing mess" but not easy to pull off the look of that "little black dress" like Coco Chanel once said. Nothing can replace simple black dress and it will never go out of style. I think Angelina Jolie will agree with me since she has worn this beautiful black gown which has a resemblance to Madame Gautreau's "Madame X" in her portrait by American painter John Singer Sargent.
What does your clothing say About YOU?
I have submitted an entry to America's Most Stylish Blogger contest. If I were to win, I will get my personal blog on StyleList, a blogger store on Bluefly and a Bluefly shopping spree. One of the questions in that entry, I have been asked to write a short discription of what "my clothing" will say about itself if they were asked this question. I thought about it and probably the following would be the true statement:
"I am full of attention, nothing I can possibly add that will pass by unnoticed. I am not conceded but what is fashion without confidence?! Always on time with latest trends and classic looks. Everybody wants to know where this piece was purchased, want to share it but then again will not want others to have it either... I am wearable by a fashionista, egoistically happy shopaholic who loves to splurge and surprise others that is why I am in the middle of the center stage, surrounded by others! Oh boy, its hard to be me!"

Chanel No. 5 Vintage At Its Best

Polyvore has a great collection of Chanel Vintage clothing and accessories. It provides all the garment details as well as the originator contact meaning the stores and websites which can be your primary assistant in finding there expensive pieces. I think some of them are absolutely priceless and are not for sale.
If you search for any piece or planning to put an outfit together, you can create a great look and post it on Polyvore for everybody to see. What a great idea since you can totally share your taste and fashionista trend with everybody else on the planet.
My favorite look was the one with bright reds and always elegant blacks incorporated into a chic "Breakfast at Tiffany's" look by Arielle Goosenberth. Visit her page and have fun connecting to others who appreciate these rare Chanel Vintage pieces.
