Taylor Swift Made Into a Russian Doll
Have you ever tried to redo a picture of yourself into a cartoon look alike? Well, it certainly a new trend for the recent magazine covers in Russia. People are extremely touched up into different faces and bodies. When I saw this picture of Taylor Swift, I could not believe it is actually her. She is a young girl redone into a plastic surgery perfection. I am not sure how her fans are reacting but I am shocked. I guess with today's technology everything is possible but not to this "extreme". Does she look pretty - yes, does she look real - absolutely not. I will add this to the list with Demi Moore W Cover controversy which have disappointed people around the world. I wonder how Taylor is reacting to this but I am sure it is not a pleasant to see yourself being captured into a lifeless Doll.

How somebody this talented and successul can end their life in such tragedy? What made Alexander McQueen feel the way he felt and what is the reason for his death? We will never be able to answer these questions. But we can remember him as one of the famous designers of our time who has been a fresh stream into the fashion world with his delighful, young, innovative designs which has been appealing to every age.
Whose unforgettable 10-12 inch stilletos have been huge hit on the runways around the world. Whose couture gowns have been worn not only during fashion and movie awards but have been embraced as a piece of fashion art. What can be more fulfilling when you see everybody raving about the "alien-like creatures" who have invaded the Fashion Week in each major fashion capital. Kate Moss, Annabelle Neilson and Naomi Campbell have introduced the designer during his tribute at the London Fashion Week and have been truly proud to be standing on that runway and being part of this overwhelming emotion cat walk ever.
When I was writing an article about McQueen's Titanic Ballerina Pumps, I would never predict that I would be writing another aricle upon his death. It is a good moment to think of what we do in life and start appreciating people while they are among us... try to be more attentive, more patient, loving and caring towards each other. On this note, I want to wish Alexander McQueen to RIP.
Designer’s World 2010 in the Nutshell
Where do we arrive at the beginning of 2010, some of the news are bad and some of them are quite pleasant. I guess the PR world is not in the best position in the recent days. It has been experiencing lay offs at some of the top designer powerhouses like Chanel & Versace.
Karl Lagerfeld has decided that Beth Shapiro, "the director of global marketing and public relations for the designer's eponymous label", is to be laid off at the beginning of the year. No explanation was given.
Versace has laid off about 350 employees back in October and planning on departing US land including their PR team which due to stay unemployed locally.
There are some of the positive notes, Sarah Jessica Parker has been picked to be a design consultant at Halston.
Jimmy Choo had collaborated with Uggs to make their new creation of high heel "Hunter faux crocodile rainboots". Their Jimmy Choo embellished Uggs will be a hot item on the market, just watch!
Do you know Moises de la Renta? He is the son of legendary Oscar de la Renta who has been working on designing his own collection for Mango.
Lindsay Lohan’s Collaboration with 6126
Lindsay Lohan, despite all the hatred reviews with Ungaro and her personal mishaps, will be launching her expended clothing line in addition to leggings from 6126. Interesting enough, people have been very curious to see the new collection or should I say an addition to the padded leggings. They range from $100 to $150 & sold at some of the high end stores like Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and, of course, Macy's. Are you surprised? She will be involved in the process of designing a new collection from scratch like picking out the fabrics, styles, colors and will certainly be drawing the initial designs. If this is not an "UP" for you, its definitely something positive for Lindsay and her future. She will be given another chance to rise and prove that she is in fact talented, worth mentioning designer who is trying her best to please the crowds.

Battle is On: Balenciaga vs Steve Madden
Who would have thought that winning a lawsuit against another shoe designer is actually a posibility. We see ton of shoes online which pretty much look alike as that pair of designer stilletos that everybody wants. Well, this is the case with Balenciaga vs. Steve Madden case. Remember those colorful stilettos by Balenciaga from last year which look like they made from Lego set? Steve Madden has designed similar Lego style shoe this year. They did not realize that Balenciaga got tired of copycats & have announced that this is their original design which cannot be copyrighted by slashing Steve Madden with a lawsuit.

Celebrity’s Taste for Being Nude-ist
The more we watch Music Awards, the more we realize that lingerie & bathing suits outfits are in style this year. I refer to Rhianna, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and others who have shocked the stages around US & Europe by performing their new debuts in the skin tight lingerie/corset pairings.
According to WWD, British females are shopping in the lingerie sections not only for their intimate affairs but for "everybody to see" affairs. Meaning they are wearing exposed outfits to nightclubs, house parties and other public places.
This is a new trend for 2010 and who can argue if everybody is about to change into bodysuit outfits even for daylight meetings. Two of the hottest items which exceeded their sales this season in London are "the monochrome girdle with feathers protruding from the hips and a bandage slip, both by Bordelle".
NY Mag shows the mixture between Rhianna's outfit from American Music Awards, Lady Gaga's cream color corset and of course, we cannot forget Katie Perry's sushi outfit and her tuxedo duo. All of them are fun for stage performances with exposed legs & low cut bustier which gives each chest a fuller look, colors are neutral but classic. One of the outrageous outfits that I have seen is Katie Perry's sushi boat. Since I love sushi time, I totally adore her creativity and ability to pull off such unique outfit. I give her A+ for being the diva that she is, among all of other outrageous ladies like Lady Gaga & Beyoncé.
Demi’s Model Looking Body Fake or Real
Regardless of that, I think Demi looks extremely good for her age and the fact that she has three teenage daughters makes you believe that if you really want your body to be close to perfect, it is possible! And to tell you the truth, even models get photoshopped in the commercials and TV/online advertisements. America's Next Top Model show is a clear proof of having imperfections of skin, body and hair disappear right before photoshoot.
We can judge for ourselves but Demi has tweeted that it is obscene for other people to judge what is her actual shape. It is in a way true but at the same time, she is presenting herself in front of millions of people who certainly will question her looks after multiple plastic surgeries that she has done. At the end, the cover got lots of attention and publicity exactly what W Magazine was looking for.

Recent Celebrity Fashion Collaborations
Lindsay Lohan will be collaborating with jeweler Pascal Mouawad to create a new line of "something with a friend who owns bebe". Nobody knows the details yet but everybody is scared of the outcome after what happened to poor Ungaro.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will be creating their own jewelry line as well and I bet a lot of people will buy it since they all know their dedication to the charity around the world. It will include "pave diamond snake rings, earrings and pendants, is called The Protector and inspired by snakes, or more specifically a non-Asprey snake ring Angelina wore while pregnant with her first child".
Victoria Beckham has picked Blake Lively to be a muse for her new collection and we mean she is completely obsessed about her. Blake will be in her campaigns, brochures, maybe even the runways - this is definitely something new.

It seems like Victoria Beckham adores color of Fuschia. I saw her caring Hermes Birkin bag with high platform heels both in Fuschia and she is not afraid of critics. I wouldn’t either since this is the best color to wear if you are concerned with your pale completion or even want to bring out the color of your eyes.
Victoria is not afraid of bright and bold combination, she can pull her look off extraordinary well without being bashed by many fashion critics on their magazine pages. It is important to be brave and know how to match up pieces together. If you are totally in the mood for fuschia, make sure you have just two pieces same color to your look: dress and handbag or shoes and handbag... maybe a hat but that would be an extra. Jewelry is not necessary in this case, simple look in fuschia will do its best.
